According to a study discussed in Small Business Trends, customers are still hesitant to take advantage of mobile coupons. A very small 4 percent of users said they had redeemed mobile coupons; only 10 percent said they felt comfortable storing coupons on their mobile phone as opposed to printing them out. Not surprisingly, younger consumers are more open-minded to using mobile coupons.

Website Analytics and Why It’s Important
October 23, 2009, by Staff WriterPosted in Uncategorized | 2 commentsHappy Friday! Today, we have guest blogger Gregg Gottschling from The GiftCardCafe to discuss why website analytics are so important.
Good web analytics shows you how visitors actually find and use your site so that you can make informed decisions on how to make changes & improvements for your business. How can analytics actually help your business? Well for starters it can give you a baseline for how many people actually visit your site, but more importantly what they do and how they act once they are on the site. Small Business owners need to learn how to treat their website as if it was an extension of their storefront, especially if you are selling products and services online.

Email Marketing Guide for Small Businesses
September 01, 2009, by JackiePosted in Uncategorized | 1 commentsWith so many small to medium businesses using Twitter, Facebook, and other social networking tools, good ole’ email marketing seems to have taken a backseat to its newer marketing tactics. Still, email marketing is one of the most cost-effective and efficient ways for businesses to reach out to existing customers and gain new ones.
Targeted Information
The main reason that email marketing does so well despite all the new online marketing methods is its relevance. The people receiving the emails care about the product, business, or industry. They already showed initial interest by signing up for your emails-now you just have to keep the emails engaging enough to keep them interested.
Customer Retention
Just like Twitter and Facebook marketing, email marketing’s main goal is customer retention. The constant communication and updates help build relationships between you and your customers. Just make sure the emails stay relevant. As long as the emails include information the customer is interested in, they will continue to read them.

Surviving the Recession
August 21, 2009, by JackiePosted in In the News, Uncategorized | 1 commentsAs many small business owners fight the recession and try to find that light at the end of the “bad economy tunnel”, it only makes sense to be open-minded and try new ideas that worked for other owners. I came across a great post by The Small Business Blog that gave a few tips that worked for them.
Use Your Connections
Many of our first customers came from friends, family, and friends-of-friends. The key to using your connections is not be shy- ask for help. “We sought (and still seek) the advice of peers and industry experts. We know lawyers, accountants, and sales and marketing pros. We’re never afraid to ask for advice. Remember, as much as you think you know, there’s always the opportunity to learn more”.
