  In addition to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October is also the home for another women’s cause- Women’s Small Business Month. Women-owned small businesses employ 23 million people and have an economic impact of $3 trillion. In a study released this month, it is clear that women businesses are playing a huge role in our economic recovery efforts.

  The study, The Economic Impact of Women-Owned Businesses in the United States, marks the first time research has been conducted on the impact of women owned businesses and the purchasing power of their employees.

  We all wish there were 25 hours in a day and then maybe we could finish half of what we need to do! Unfortunately, I do not think our time system is going to change any time soon. For many entrepreneurs and business owners, there are so many things to do that we barely get a chance to take care of ourselves. Let’s be completely honest-when things get hectic the first thing to go is usually the exercise routine.

  After a long day at work, the last thing most of us want to do is get on an Elliptical, spin-class, or go running. When the motivation is barely there, it is very easy to overlook the Post-It note or “Item 27: Workout” on your daily to-do list. Even Oprah Winfrey, who has personal trainers and assistants at her disposal, found herself neglecting workouts, which resulted her recent weight struggle.
