BookFresh is thrilled to have been invited to participate in the 2009 Intuit Entrepreneur's Day event. The event will give the senior management of Intuit the opportunity to learn more about BookFresh and for executives from both companies to brainstorm ideas on potential partnership opportunities.

Networking is Critical

Networking is critical to companies like BookFresh and it's just as important for you and your small business. Sure there are probably more pressing things that you could tend to during your workday, but it's critical that you don't undervalue the time you put into networking on behalf of your business. It's easy to write off the process of networking because often it can be hard to recognize the immediate return on investment that networking can produce. "I didn't meet any potential clients at that thing - and to top it off - the drinks weren't even free". Believe me, I've been there. Remember though; networking is as much a science as it is an art. Learning how to use these opportunities to make new friends and increase awareness about your business can become a totally rewarding process if you're willing to put yourself out there.

Opportunities to Refine Your Pitch

Every business owner needs a great elevator pitch and networking events and speaking opportunities are a great opportunity to practice and refine your pitch to people. When I attend an event like Intuit's Entrepreneur Day I'm given a great opportunity to practice how to communicate the vision of BookFresh and explain the reasons why I am so excited about our future.

Get out into your local business community and practice the art of networking and presentation like we do at BookFresh. It will help your business grow, but more importantly, it can help you improve your ability to communicate with others. Thanks again to Intuit for including us in this year's event.
