	Jason Collins (UMG Consultant) Book with Jason	We are very proud and fortunate to have Jason Collins as our Media consultant. ...Jason has been at UMG and its subsidiary such as Def Jam for close to a decade now. During his first 8 years at UMG/Def Jam he specialized in intellectual property matters with an emphasis on sample spotting and video and sample clearances, working hand it hand with A&Rs, company execs and artist management. He currently is UMG`s chief meta data specialist and oversees all digital traffic to UMG`s online partners, such as Itunes and Amazon, etc. Jason is definitely an aficionado of music and also an accomplished DJ and has worked in many notable clubs and venues in NYC. Jason will review submissions from a: 1) Technical standpoint (eg sound or video quality and essential meta tagging) 2) Legal standpoint (eg music or video sample clearances) and 3) Marketability standpoint (eg if submissions are hot enough and current enough to be submitted to entertainment and media companies).
