Find Out How!

As an online life coach, your best setting to encounter clients would be the World Wide Web. People in need of personal advice and coaching turn to the Internet to search for life coaches who can meet their needs. So how can you utilize the Internet to locate clients? Consider the following steps.

Coach a Friend

If you are starting a life coaching business, your first clients would be relatives and friends. Find a relative or friend whom you know is in a dire personal or professional situation and would benefit greatly from your services. Since you’re just starting out and servicing a person whom you are close with, it is imperative to offer your services for free. Introduce your client on how your services would be rendered. Connect with your client on a regular basis and prove that you are a worthy life coach. When you successfully set your relative or friend back on track, ask him/her to do some word-of-mouth marketing for your business and to refer his/her relatives and friends to you.

Experienced online life coaches could also render services to their relatives and friends in exchange for advertising your business.

Coaching Through Live Chat

Starting online life coaches can render free services through online chat services. They can gather varied online life coaching experience since the online chat community is diverse. Professional online life coaches could also use online chatting as a marketing tool to spread their online presence by posting ads on group chat rooms.

Once sufficient experience is obtained, online life coaches can join websites that provide expert advice for people such as LivePerson. Professional online coaches get paid by rendering advice and coaching services through these websites. Such affiliations are also good publicity for your practice.

Create a Website

One sure way of advocating your presence is by setting up a personal or business website. Your website should be aesthetic but not overly embellished. It should easily direct visitors on how to contact you. Your website should post your credentials (training and certifications) as a life coach to convince clients of your worth.

Set Online Advertisements

Online life coaches can create digital ads and post them on blogs and websites for a fee. You can have your ads posted on websites of other online life coaches you know well. In return, let them post their ads on your own website. Another way to promote your services is by attaching your business logo (if you have one), contact details, and a link to your website in all e-mails that you send. It acts as a digital business card for your services. You could also ask your clients, relatives, and friends to do the same when sending their own e-mails. This works in the same way as advertising mail.

Offline Marketing

Although online marketing is the highly utilized medium for advertising today, it doesn’t mean that traditional methods should be set aside. You can invest a little in traditional marketing methods like through a newspaper, flyers, brochures, or the yellow pages. These ads should list your coaching services and how you can be reached online.

I was hoping this article would have more ideas for me as, although I am a trained life coach I struggle to find clients. You did have some good tips though, Thanks

I think it is important to create yourself a Fanpage on Facebook and provide real value to your fans. By offering daily or weekly tips, it gives them the opportunity to get to know you and start to build relationships.

When you develop a presence online, people need a way to get to know you.

Cheers!
Terri
