Find Out How!

Locating people who want to hire entertainers is not easy in these economically troubled times. People now hire entertainers only for major social events. They may hire entertainers for private celebrations but this can rarely be the case especially if they have relatives who can sing and dance. Entertainers, their agents and promoters should then exert extra effort in marketing their services and approach the right people to present their services to. How do you find these “right people?”

Marketing

Marketing entertainment services through print, broadcast, and online media can widen your market and increase your chances of securing more gigs. Marketing techniques and mediums should be well-chosen so as to entice clients to demand for your entertainment. Entertainment services could be marketed through print ads that state your entertainment services and experience. Broadcast and online marketing are more cost-effective mediums in reaching out to every inch of the entertainment market. Entertainers could also employ word-of-mouth marketing in which they ask past clients to spread their presence to clients’ family, relatives, and friends who may want to solicit their services.

Establish Good Public Relations

Marketing would be useless without establishing good PR. Having a smooth public relationship leaves a lasting mark on society. The media plays a vital role in establishing good PR. Through the media, an entertainer can establish his/her identity. They could also justify their abilities and credibility. People are more likely to employ the services of an entertainer who is given much praise by the media.

Establishing good PR takes time. Entertainers should be sincere, truthful and professional in their dealings. They should be able to meet the demands and expectations of their audience. In the face of opposing views, professional entertainers exceed politeness by accepting and acknowledging these views.

Community Involvement

Participating in for-a-cause activities increases an entertainer’s appeal to the community. Participation should be intentional and voluntary, so entertainers may opt to choose causes that are close to their heart. Benefits are attainable in the long run. It gives the entertainer a positive and approachable image. Community activity sites are also good venues to market your services to people. Major agents from the entertainment industry may also be present in these causes—thus rendering a perfect opportunity to catch their attention. All that aside, community involvement provides a good sense of feeling by being able to support worthy causes.

Join Entertainment Organizations and Associations

An entertainer could join guilds, organizations, associations, or unions like the United Scenic Artists and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees. These groups advocate better working conditions, higher wages, and support for entertainers in various fields. They can assist members in locating potential work venues and job offers. These groups sometimes sponsor shows and events in which an entertainer can participate in. Aside from that, memberships in these entertainment guilds foster professional skills growth by providing trainings and workshops.

Enlist to Join Entertainment Venues

Entertainers can find more clients if they increase their exposure. They can render services to local theaters, legal clubs and bars, churches, and other venues that would solicit a certain entertainer’s specific type of services. These entertainment venues are also places where major agents of the entertainment industry can be approached.
