The Entrepreneurs’ Organization or EO is a worldwide network of roughly 7,300 business owners, CEOs, and entrepreneurs. It has existing chapters in 42 countries, which was first founded in 1987 by a group of young entrepreneurs themselves to empower their co-entrepreneurs and help them achieve business success though interaction and peer-to-peer exchanges.

Mission, Vision, and Core Values

First established as the Young Entrepreneur Organization, the vision of EO remains to put together a pool of the most influential entrepreneurs all over the world. It also has the mission of letting these entrepreneurs learn and grow at the same time in their own fields of businesses.

The five core values of Entrepreneurs’ Organization focus on five goals. These are to wage on the abilities of the individual entrepreneur, to take opportunities of learning, to make a legacy and leave a mark, to build trust and respect, and to journey in search of wonderful experiences. In addition, this entrepreneur organization is non-profit and it gives training programs in order to make its members successful.

Objectives of the Organization

EO, like any other solid and well-founded organization, has a layout of its objectives. These are to nurture the entrepreneurship, to give support to the members, to present resources for new business ideas, and to have a sharing of success stories that would allow others to gain business principle insights.

Membership to the organization has certain requirements, which are only two. The aspiring applicant must not be older than 40 and he must be a business founder or partner, wherein the business in question must be capable of generating an annual sales of at least $1 million. Currently, the Entrepreneurs’ Organization has a community of members that average an age of 34.

Organization Facilities

A free exchange of entrepreneurial ideas is fostered by the organization in order to make room for its objectives. One of the facilities that a member can enjoy is the forum, wherein each group in the forum consists of a dozen members that meet regularly in order to discuss matters that concern entrepreneurship as a whole. This can also allow members to network with other business people.

In addition, a mentorship program and a marketplace are also available, which are both helpful for entrepreneurial success. Finally, this entrepreneur organization is also involved in social awareness programs, knowing that the members have to give something back to the community as a part of their responsibility.

Indeed, there are entrepreneur organizations that exist. The question then should not be is there one for an entrepreneur like me, but rather, how to join the organization.
