Skype Counseling working great!
4/16/2013
Kelly C says: My husband and I were a bit skeptical about how effective online counseling would be. We have been married over twenty years and really need help living our Catholic faith and holding our marriage and family together after all these years. We live overseas and so we are only able to meet with John virtually, although with Skype it feels pretty real. We were lucky that we were able to meet him face to face in his office for our first appointment as we were in the states at the time. The online (utilizing Skype video calling) couple sessions have not felt much different than when we were all in his office together. We have both also met with John individually and if you are thinking "what can he say that we don't already know, or haven't heard before", you'd be surprised. John's advice and guidance are genuinely Catholic in perspective, exactly why we went to him in the first place. We feel he will challenge us to do right by each other and our children in this life and prepare ourselves for the next.
Highly recommend him... whether you're Catholic or not!

Carly S says: Before I met John I was not a fan of the idea of seeing a counselor. However, I felt like I had hit rock bottom and figured nothing to lose. From the very first session I knew I was in a great place. He is very understanding and has never made me feel stupid... even on the days where I had a couple extra loose screws. He was recommended to me and I continue to recommend him! Thank you, John, for all that you do!
Best choice I ever made

Nicole V says: My husband and I have been coming here for a few months, John truly cares about helping you work thru your issues and helps you see things from a different perspective. I am extremely happy with the progress we have made coming here. We did have some major issues when we started here and although I don't think we're completely healed I'm certain John will be able to bring us there. He has been a blessing in our lives.. Thank you!

Juan M says: We just had our first session and John is a great listener. John was genuinely interested in hearing our story. We are healing from a number of painful issues including infidelity and he was not deterred by what we thought were huge issues. John's office provided a very comfortable setting that enabled us to speak very frankly. I am very hopeful that our therapy sessions will allow us to move forward in a positive way in our relationship. He provided us a very affordable solution that will allow us to attend therapy regularly and he cared more about us as people, not money. He seems like a very good, humble man.

Sandy F says: True blessing in our lives. I look forward to having 1:1 and as a couple with John, I believe my husband has a total different perspective on marriage counseling. I think he may have had reservation thinking that it would make matters worse. He really didn't know what the outcome would be. But I have to say our session helped a lot we are actually communicating.
I will recomend you to friends in problems

E.R. S says: We argued on the way to the appointment. It was a 90 minute drive, 80 minutes spent in silence. When we got to his office, he was warm and caring. He made us fill very comfortable, almost like family. The music he had playing was spiritual, and it every way had a calming effect on us. He offered us drinks and help in filling out the long questionaire. After we filled out the necessary documentation, he welcomed us into a comfortable and intimate lounge setting, not too small and not too large. We talked to him and he listened. We actually were there for over 2 hours!! He wanted to charge us the one hour fee but we paid him over that amount, just because he listened to us for so long! After our visit, we still argued on the way home. However, we both feel comfortable enough to continue on seeing him and having him help us through this most difficult time. Don't expect miracles, but do expect friendship, compassion, understanding and a great listener. In these tough moments in our lives, John Perry gave us that, and more. Thank you, John.
He knows what he is doing-very important to a therapist

A blessing to the hurting.

M. H says: John is a kind and helpful therapist. He challenges one's flawed thinking without being abrasive. He reflects the compassion of Jesus Christ to Christians of different denominations. The Christian who happens not to attend a Catholic Church can also feel welcomed and helped by John. I am very grateful to The Lord for continually using John as an instrument in my life. I have come a long way from the suicidal dispair of the past. If one is of modest means, he will work with you on payment. Therapy is well worth the investment to improve one's quality of life. He works honestly in this field to help people and not for selfish reasons. Step out in faith and make your appointment today. One's gift of life is meant to be lived to the fullest. Do not let difficulties steal that away from you!
A Wonderful Therapist!

K. D says: John sincerely cares about helping his clients. He's non-judgmental and such a great listener, and I feel completely comfortable opening up to him. I always feel so much better about myself after our sessions! His office reminds me a little of a Catholic bookstore, but he has never tried to impose his beliefs on me. I'm not the only person who thinks he's an outstanding therapist. Everyone I know who has gone to him can't say enough good things about him. I'm convinced that when this man dies, he's going straight to heaven!
Exceeded my expectations

Bill M says: John listened to our issues. He recommended a conservative approach that was not costly and offered a couple of reasonable options. He did not want to initiate unnecessary counseling. The fee schedule was quite fair and reasonable. The office was pleasant and comfortable. I felt comforted by the familiar Catholic art and books, but my non-Catholic wife was very comfortable there. He recommended books from both a Catholic and a non-Catholic author. I can't say enough good things about John!!
I would recommend John to a friend!

C. S says: John does a wonderful job of providing an environment in which one feels validated and safe. I look forward to my sessions with him because he listens thoughtfully and his insight is very helpful. Additionally, his office feels welcoming and serene.
Sought guidance- actually received sound, helpful direction. He's a rare bird in this industry.

M. E says: John LISTENS. Because of his listening skills, he is able to suss out what is at the heart of what ails you. He never condescends, insults your intelligence, makes you repeat yourself or confounds you into silence. His questions rocket through the garbage that most therapists take sessions to wade through. He gets to his destination quickly, understands the real nature of what he's uncovered, and is able to provide truly viable and useful help. I am grateful we crossed paths.
He's Great!

Mike S says: John has a very comfortable setting for his 'guests". He's very good at guiding you through the process and knows how to listen and which questions to ask. As a devout Catholic, I'm glad he is, too. Don't worry if you are not a believer, though. He won't beat you over the head with his beliefs. :)
